Television is using intelsat 704 at 66 E for its broadcasting
through satellite. Nepal Television is using Sagarmatha
earth station of Balambu as its earth station for uplinking
its signal. Optical fiber is used to link Singh Durbar broadcasting
studio (master control room) with the earth station. Transmission
over the country is satellite based terrestrial broadcasting.
NTV is broadcasting free to air signal to most of the parts
of the country and has planned to extend its coverage through
out the country. Currently it has 14 transmission stations
on different parts of the country.
